The Brief for this Arts & Crafts style garden was to provide extra parking whilst at the same time ensuring that the garden did not become a sterile car park. This was achieved by replacing the sagging wall with a new brick one along with bespoke railings and increasing the width of the access for cars, enabling a space to be created in front of the house. A direct path from the pavement to the front door was installed separating pedestrians from cars and creating an entrance to the Arts & Crafts style house. In keeping with the style of the house gravel was used; also good from a security point of view. To add interest to the driveway area contemporary flat rock gardens, edged with red brick were installed. A box knot garden with roses on obelisks in the centre, gives a sense of privacy in front of the sitting room, which along with bold colourful planting ensure a lovely journey to and from the front door what ever the time of year.
